Be a Cheerleader
I firmly believe in applauding others, and I make sure to thank my teammates for a job well done. I get a lot of joy when my employees receive awards, and I feel good knowing I have had a part in their recognition.
Employees take their leadership’s cue and will work harder for you if you’re cheering them on. You must be passionate about your work, as your attitude will come thru to your team. It’s hard to be grumpy when surrounded by smiles and enthusiasm (for most people 🤗).
Friday is our organization day which is also our annual awards ceremony. We have a theme each year, and this year’s theme is sports. I don’t have a specific team I follow or a team jersey, so I plan to be a cheerleader for our “work team.”
I’ve made myself a cheerleading outfit. I cut up a dress for the skirt and got iron-on lettering from the craft store.
The accessories came from Amazon. There’s a massive distribution center in Jacksonville, and you can get overnight delivery for most things.
Team Fagan will be on the front row giving a shoutout and cheer to all our award winners.
We are JAX Strong. Go, JAX team, go!

Thank you Bryan. We need more cheerleaders in life. Imagine what a great place the world would be if we all were lifting each other up in praise and encouragement.
