Little Ones

Final Journey

I took my final ride with my girl on the way to the mountains yesterday, taking her back to where she was born 18 years ago.

A precious little girl named Morgan wanted a kitten, and when she saw the cute little tuxedo kitten, she knew that was the one.  Pancake melted her heart, and over the years, Pancake melted all our hearts because of her loving personality.

I was blessed to have Pancake for the past four years.  We were two little old ladies doing our thing.  She was my bed buddy, TV buddy, and travel buddy.  We spent many hours in the car traveling back/forth to the mountains.  The trip was at least seven hours one way and, based on traffic, could be longer.  She always knew when we were getting close because she would recognize my turn signals and the slowing down of the car.

I miss my girl.  Coming home at night is different, and my trips will no longer be the same.  I won’t have my travel companion.  I have brought her back home to rest with our other little ones who have crossed over Rainbow Bridge.

Farewell, my sweet girl.

I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes. We take them in, love them, care for them and appreciate their presence. So hard to lose them.

Yes it is very hard. I miss my little Pancake everyday but I am blessed that I was able to feel her love as well as give her love. We had a very special bond❤️🐾
