Hibiscus Kiss
I have loved, loved, loved this paint (Hibiscus Kiss). At first, I thought it would be too blue for my taste, but it is one of those color tones that is more soothing than invigorating.
I still have a bit left for smaller projects, but it’s time to move on to other crafts. I’m sharing these last two projects to show you how a coat of paint & some Mod Podge design can transform old things into new.
This tray is another old office desk in/out box. This one will go to my friend who was with me when I was paint shopping & she picked out the paint color. The design is a cut-out napkin held in place with Modge Podge.
I added the same napkin design to each side. The “feet” give it some lift. I finished it off with the acrylic lacquer spray. This will be perfect on her dresser to hold small items or in her bathroom for hand towels, lotion, & soap.
The next item was a black TV tray. It functions perfectly as a little side table at the end of the couch to hold the TV remote & my coffee cup. It just needed some love in the form of a coat of Hibiscus Kiss.
The top pattern is a pretty paper I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I was attracted to the bright colors & didn’t know at the time how I would use it. I just knew I liked it & the idea would come later. I also finished it off with the acrylic lacquer spray. I love the transformation & now, my little table speaks to me.
I will find some smaller projects to use the rest of my paint, but this color has served me well in giving some items a new life. So, here’s to the many uses of a tiny jar of Hibiscus Kiss.
