Jacksonville Arboretum
After nine years of living in Jacksonville, I finally visited the Arboretum. It’s 120 acres with easy walking trails, native plants, and many areas to sit and enjoy nature. In November, some plants are dormant, but others are still in bloom, like the beautiful camellia. There were mushrooms and lichen in different colors and shapes.
The live oak was magnificent, sharing itself with other plants, and workers were busy putting up lights and decorations. I hope to get back when the trails come alive after dark.
