Paper Valentines

Yesterday brought back many childhood memories.  I received two paper valentines at the office.  One said I was “Turtle-y Awesome,” & the other one said, “Thank you for being the Right Whale for my pod!”

If you don’t recognize the trend, these valentines are from 2 of our biologists.  I know it sounds corny, but I loved it.  Most people wore red or pink, and there were many hearts on sweaters and shirts.

I received hugs from my Galentines, & it made me feel good to surprise them with candy & a card.  People will remember how good you made them feel long after you are gone & that’s how I want to be remembered.

Making the time to celebrate is important to maintain positivity and normalcy in these very abnormal times & it only takes a little bit of creativity & effort to make any occasion special.
