Rethunk Junk

If you like to paint to change things up a little bit, this is a paint you’ve got to try. Rethunk Junk is an all-in-one furniture paint that’s simple to use with fabulous results. There’s no priming, no sanding, and no waxing. Just clean your piece and paint. I’ve used this to transform several tables plus other smaller items around the house. It comes in so many beautiful colors but the primary ones I have used are Marigold, Seafoam Green, Ruby Red, Barn Door Red, Hydrangea Kiss, Slate, and a basic White.

My dining room chairs in my little cottage in JAX were beginning to look pretty ragged. I’ve had them for sixteen years, and they were cracked from the drying of the material plus the cats had taken a toll on them using them to sharpen their precious little claws.
I looked for chair covers, but none appealed to me. I also contemplated putting them out on the street for pick-up day. This weekend I had some time on my hands and a jar of Ruby Red, and I decided to see what I could do. The worst that could happen is they would not turn out the way I wanted and out on the street they would go. Well, I was pleasantly surprised. I really like the finished look, and the paint hid the major flaws.
Painting the four chairs took about fifteen minutes for each one. I just used a brush for the painting that I had in my craft stash. After drying, they are back around the table, and I can enjoy them for a few more years.
I enjoy “do-it-yourself” projects and I’ve been very pleased with each one I have completed using this paint. The company is in Millen, Georgia and if you’re considering making a color change in your house, check out their website and their product. They are also on Facebook = Rethunk Junk.
My next MAJOR project is trying to determine how to keep Waffle from using them as his scratching post. That is a work in progress 😊.
