Uranium Glass

I mentioned in a previous post that I go every Saturday as my form of mental relaxation.  And to see what kind of “treasure” I can find.   This week I found some great stuff so let’s take a look.

I’ve seen the resurgence of people looking for Vaseline glass, also called uranium glass, because a small percentage of uranium is added to the glass formula to give it the yellow-green tint.  Illuminated with a black light, it will fluoresce a bright green.  I was thrilled to find these seven pieces for less than $5.00 per piece.

My next find was a steal.  A steal in the sense of cost.  These silver-plated trays were $.25 a piece.  Yes, twenty-five cents!  Look how they cleaned up!
