Working With Paper Napkins
During the week, my time is filled with charts, numbers, data, & people stuff, so my way of unwinding is to open up my craft bin & see what sorts of things I have to transition something from dull to a “made you look”🤗 item.
I’ve been working quite a bit lately with paper napkins. There are so many beautiful designs to work with. I’m just beginning to learn how to manipulate the thin pieces, but I’m having a lot of fun with it.
This was the lamp before and after. The silver color wasn’t bad, but it needed some love.
The base had some texture with the ridges & the shade was nice & flat to work with. I had the lamp on the nightstand that I had previously posted about the re-do, so working with the same color scheme was where I went with this—the after-look changes the lamp & the look of the room.
I really liked the rose gold paint & I have some ideas to use it for other projects.
My way of unwinding may not be for everyone, but if I can paint, hot glue, or change something, I am in my happy place. Next time you see or use a beautiful paper napkin, think of the endless possibilities you could do with it.
Have a great Sunday!
